I was thinking about the phrase “pearl clutching” and how it is a sexist phrase. Who wears the pearls, usually? Women. Who is easily offended that leads to the woman clutching at her neck? Women. What is a good anti-misogynist counterpoint?
For a thought experiment let’s work this through. A pearl is what is made by a clam in reaction to an internal irritant. A pearl is also an organic gem. Another word for gem is jewel. A gross reference for male external genitalia is family jewels. The family jewels belong to a man, therefore they are also an organic gem.
And men love to clutch at their family jewels when they are offended.
Boom, the perfect sexist metaphor to pearl clutching.
This has been a heavy political week. There were massive gains for the Democrats, which means that the republicans feel spanked.
And they should.
Their policies are unpopular. Their policies are cruel. Their policies lead to the deaths of Americans. Their policies have gotten us into another forever war over oil and the Middle East. Not to mention the entire quagmire in Iran is due to the deliberate negation of the Iran nuclear deal that was signed by President Barack Obama in 2015. The JCPOA (joint comprehensive plan of action) was an international agreement that limited the ability of Iran to have uranium and develop their nuclear program. In return Iran would have access to some of their sanctioned money.
We all know what happened on May 8, 2018. President Trump tore up the deal and ended the successful program and placed more sanctions on Iran.
Enter 2026, the year of the self own by this administration, where now again President Trump declared that Iran could not have nuclear weapons and started a war to make sure they wouldn’t have nuclear weapons.
Do you think he is so self delusional that he is unable to connect the dots of the two parts? Action:reaction. Cause:effect. Delusion:Doubling down on original delusion.

I also believe that he tore up the original JCPOA to throw mud in Obama’s eye. Mostly because of racism.
Same reason he started the birtherism nonsense.
Because a Black man was more successful at the job he never wanted anyway but rode down the golden staircase so that everyone would talk about DJT.
Oh, he wanted the immense power of being the head of the most powerful nation on the planet. Yes, please that is EXACTLY why he wanted to be president.
But the responsibility? The blame? It is never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever time infinity his fault.
Let him clutch the family jewels.
