School Me Saturday 6/6/26- The very first thing we learned in school

The very first thing we learned in school about history is that the Pilgrims fled England because of religious persecution. Because they wanted to do something other than the Church of England.

No, seriously, it is the very first thing that we learned in the first grade. Around Thanksgiving when our teachers were telling us the reason for the holiday.

Does this not ring any bells?

Wow, y’all went to a different school then. Definitely in a different time.

Who knows what they are teaching these days.

Well, religious freedom is enshrined into the very First Amendment to the Constitution. Does the saying “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof” mean anything to you? This is the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment.

No where in the original documents that people are so hot for does it state that the United States is of any one religion.

Which was their entire fucking point of emigrating away from England.

Hold onto your religious item of faith.

The Department of Defense has officially dropped 180 faiths from the recognized religion list. From over 200 down to 31.

Why?

There is some nonsense gobbledegook about the chaplaincy and making sure that all 31 religions had people of faith in the miliary ranks as the announced reason.

I call bullshit.

This is an assault on religious freedom.

Guess which flavor makes up the most of the 31 remaining?

I mean, you don’t even have to guess.

Christianity.

21/31 are a sect of Christianity. Roughly 2/3.

Do you realize what a bright red blaring red claxon this is?
