Today’s Chipapalooza cookie is a throwback to one of the very first cookies I made for CTIAT. I had orange flavoring and I thought it would pair best with white chocolate chips. This became one of the most frequently asked for CTIAT cookies. Until jalapeno chocolate chip cookies knocked it off its throne.
I made this cookie again today.
And I was surprised that the cookie isn’t as orange flavored as I remembered.
Instead it tasted like candy. With a subtle vanilla flavoring like an orange julius.
These baked up like a dream and were stunning cookies.
Don’t cry because chipapalooza is over, rejoice because I have barely dented the stock in the baking pantry.
I will be continuing the theme for June.
What prompted this is the overwhelming chip assortment I have in stock. And also I was torn between orange white chocolate and lemon white chocolate. Then I remembered I have blueberry chips and what goes best with lemon? Blueberry.
