Chipapalooza was very successful. I say that knowing that a bunch of the baking chips I had in the baking pantry got used. Over two months. Well, 1 month and 3 weeks because I was on vacation.
The last chip of this theme is the blueberry chip. I tried to make it blueberry lemon but the blueberry chip overpowered the lemon. A lot.
Odd.
These were still good and edible and I would not kick them out of the cookie jar. In fact I kind of want to add the cherry chip and the blueberry chip together to see what will happen.
I still have a few different types of chips. I didn’t even use the caramel chips or the cinnamon chips. Those will have to wait.
The Cookie Thursday is a Thing theme for July is going to be CTIAT Favorites, No Holds Barred. This is going to be wild.
I am going to take the CTIAT favorite cookies that I used for a conference poster way back in 2023 and pick and choose. A little Favorites and a little bit Baker’s Choice.
The number one requested cookie isn’t really a cookie. It’s more of a vibe. The first cookie of CTIAT Favorites, No Holds Barred is going to be Chex Mix. This is something that I traditionally only make in December. There are 2 reasons for the selection- 1) it has been requested a lot and I’m tired of seeing people’s face falls when I explain the December rule and 2) I want to see how Stove #3 handles it. Because I haven’t made anything in the lower oven yet.
Just in time for the 4th of July.
I did tell someone at work the theme and also what the first cookies was going to be. I said they could tell people if they wanted, or not. I might tell more people myself.
Or not.
The bake might just have to be an explosive surprise. Like fireworks.
