Tuesday Top of Mind 3/17/26- Pressure from medical folks does work

A lot of us medical type folk have been pushing back against RFK Jr. and have been since he was confirmed by the Senate last year.

Recap: RFK Jr., a lawyer not a medical doctor, has been railing against vaccines for years. His actions and words against vaccines have cost many people their lives. But that wasn’t enough to stop his nonsense. Or his confirmation.

I have written many Tuesday Top of Mind dispatches about this disaster of a secretary and the policies that he pulls out of his ass.

Measles and the current outbreak, including the likelihood loss of the Measles eradication badge that the US has had since 2000, can be laid at his feet. And the feet of the people who don’t know what they are talking about but they have a gut feeling that vaccines have SOMETHING to do with autism.

Ugh, no they don’t.

There is also the raw milk debacle.

Don’t drink raw milk. It is teeming with bacteria and is a time bomb in your stomach. Just don’t. Babies have died.

He fired the advisory committee on immunization practices (ACIP) last year, and stuffed the committee full of no thinkers like him. They are only out for the money. It is all a big grift.

In January, this pretend committee set about changing the long standing, long protecting of children in the US, vaccine schedule. They changed the recommendations for all children to be vaccinated against so many things, undermining the protection of the entire US when herd immunity falls, and the individual people who get sick from diseases that we’ve already had a vaccine for.

The problem is, beyond the idiot making more vibe decisions and harming people with his words, is that the vaccines are too effective and people have forgotten what it was in the before times.

You know, when people died of the flu, and hepatitis B, and measles. But wait, that is the future that these no nothings want.

Already this flu season have killed 22,000 this flu season alone. Covid is still out there killing. Measles is deadly, not just immediately but also years later.

Hope we never fall so far backward.

And stop running the country on vibes, dude.
